When my brother wants me to lane with him, I go some sort of support and give his Hard Carry or whatever all the CS while I harass the enemy.

Which Supports can function with 0 or minimum CS; usually get 0 CS unless my brother has to recall or something like that, I usually do this with Taric or Soraka.

Also, what do yall think about 0 CS support in general?

You should be getting some CS; it's pretty unlikely that he's going to get every single last hit in the lane, and he doesn't need 100% of them anyways.

As for least item dependant, I think Janna's pretty item independant, but I don't really know.

I think Taric's more item dependant than most supports, since he's got to get in melee range to get his mana back and reduce the CD on his heal. But I don't exactly have vast experience with him.

Yeah, I try to get some in, but I have a harder time last-hitting when bro runs his +17% Crit Chance page and ends getting all the minions, but that OK I farm up assists; I'll have to try Janna then. I played her once on ARAM and it seemed like her Q launched faster when I smartcast it.

Janna: no
Soraka: yes
Taric: sort of
Sona: no

soraka is the only one that is truly item dependent. Janna can play well the whole game without godly items. Soraka and taric need ap for their heals. Taric still has his ult, bulkiness, and hard cc. Soraka, well, everything about her revolves around ap and being able to live.

Imo Taric needs 0 items, its just about playing right, maximizing his head is fun, but really what taric is about is auras and stunning people until they rage quit. Janna needs some items but for the sake of being full support she can live, but wouldn't be doing much other than cc.

Sona, especially with her new minor rework, definitely needs no items, she can be support and still harass to no end. I just had a game where I bulled Shen and Nocturne in a solo lane the entire time because of how well her new power cord synergizes with her skills.

Gragas! Yes that's right Support Gragas, all he needs still ;D is 5 doran's rings and a set of boots and you will probably still toss people around like ragdolls.

Soraka is extremely item heavy.

Nidalee is very item heavy, but if you're good with a spear, all you honestly need is 50-80 AP and you'll be set damage wise, and you got a decent heal.

why are you guys not talking about karma? she's really not that bad, and isn't all that item dependent. i hear people complain about how "broken" her shield is.

Oh wow...I completely forgot about Karma despite the fact that she's completely boss.

I don't think her shield is broken anymore, it doesn't block ults anymore which was what was wrong with it when she came out. Everything else about her is awesome, I'm sorry for neglecting her. She is sort of a sleeper champion, and a beast a supporting her team, making tanks almost an iron fortress.

karma is item dependent, not as heavy as soraka but she still needs kills/assists to do well.

Oh lol I've been playing Soraka wrong then; I never break 2 digits before laning phase is over :P

Time to pick up Janna or Sona

soraka brings nothing but heals.

no items = weak heals

weak heals = bootleg team mate
