Towers and tower aggro
I can't be the only one that absolutely hates the system as it is right now.

I just got out of a game were I had to solo top as Rammus against Poppy and Sona. I spent most of the game hugging my tower and maxing out taunt, which I shouldn't have done, since I was never allowed to get near any of them to get the taunt in.
Sona would deny me pretty hard and there was nothing I could do about it, if I approached her, Poppy would ram me away and I'd eat her hammer and Sona's Valor. Sona was almost literally him me with a Q and the tower would do nothing, and what annoyed me even more was that she could autoattack if I'm behind my tower, and the tower wouldn't even decide to aim for her.

Anyway, this is starting to sound more like a rant, this is about towers in general. They always seem useless to me, they never really do their job in my opinion.

I think towers are fine. I could deal with them scaling into lategame a little better so not just anybody can take 5-6 tower shots late game would be nice, but it's pretty close to where it needs to be.

Also, if you're not able to get any last hits, you either need a lane change or a gank from the jungle. If you're solo laning as Rammus, you should expect to get denied pretty hard.

If they're attacking you at tower, you need to stand further back. They'll back off if they take a shot or two. :o

For me the towers are a love hate right now. Personally if anything the armor pen % increase was a terrible decision, it doesn't even seem like its working as it should, I've seen amu and a few others that would normally caution toward diving at 1-2 even up to lvl 6, now are diving practically at the start and succeeding.

I love that they do terrible damage now because diving is easier, but at the same time I hate it because all it takes is 2-3 people rushing in on you and you're pretty much screwed even if they have 1/3 health left and you're at full.


But all and all, the issue I've seen regarding towers, is teammates are complete morons. Getting the most kills and such is awesome, if you can do that good! But people are failing to realize and it even carries into higher bracket fights, people don't bother to keep turrets and their lanes in control, often the carries running off to gank when their lane is completely pushed, so then you got one person on the tower and 2 enemies who can easily just dive, kill you then the turret and move on, while your teammates all go for that one kill in mid.

So personally, I would like to see turrets damage scale higher and be more punishing, especially early game. But as they are, they're fine I guess, one can't complain, just pray for better teammates, one's that don't yell at a squishy for not keeping their tower up while the rest all go to do nothing toward contributing the actual game.

Not really, most of the time Sona would auto attack me, but you could see the tower's line of sight aiming for her, and would literally stay there for about 2 seconds and she would use her move speed boost skill to get out before the tower shot, making it change aggro to the minions.

Agreed, I'd personally like them to be more punishing early game.

If I had to complain earnestly about towers. It'd be their targetting. Its terrible, what I've seen even more messed up is it feels they no longer aggro when you have more than 2 people on the turret hunting you down, it just seems to ignore both champions and continue attacking minions. And then when it does target champs, it takes forever to launch a bolt at people sometimes and it will just sit there.

Ah, see, I missed this part. That's one of the things I really like about Fortify, is that it speeds up the towers' attacking delay so that people who get that line on them actually take a shot. I know why it has that delay, but damn if it's not annoying sometimes. I wouldn't mind seeing it not take so horribly long to "charge up" and actually do something to be totally honest.

Fortify basically makes turrets decent, just got out of a match as Sona and everyone tried tower diving on me and nocturne, put up fortify and just kept spamming heal and hitting them with power cord dispendo or w.e it's called, and basically got an ace from their stupidity. So Fortify definitely brings tower gameplay back into effect, but it sucks that someone needs to have it, and with such a long cd it's sorta impractical since it basically makes towers useful. Maybe instead of immune to damage it should just increase speed and armor and mag res.

Well, it beats Heroes of Newerth towers; they did pathetic damage and targeted randomly, sometimes it hit me even with creeps near and sometimes they ignored me while I killed a hero at tower.

Towers need to be fixed.

Why?

Stealth champs can sometimes stealth past them and not get hit.

Sometimes the range of a tower is really short or really long. I've had points where I've been hit by a tower in a spot which is surely out of range and has been shown in previous games.

Sometimes you're attacking an enemy champ or said enemy is hitting you and the tower decides to play tiddly winks instead and not do it's job.

I think a % damage would be nice since it means it hits everyone fairly. No one takes more or less damage in a sense. Squishies will still be hit hard and big beefy tanks still get hit hard.
