Rumble
I recently bought Rumble so I am really enjoying him a lot! But I don't see any strategy or threads about him here.

I want to improve on him. Lately, most people in Mobafire (even Phreak in Rumble Showcase) are saying to get magic resist gears such as Merc Treads and Force of Nature, along with some gear like Sunfire Cape.

So I want to ask... why are Rumble getting those kind of gears when he could be loaded up with AP gears to increase his spell's damage? What kind gears are you using for Rumble and why? So far, I'm following Phreak's suggestion and it seem to be working great for Rumble. I just want to hear different opinions.

Thanks! Smile

RE: Rumble
Same reason why people won't build full on damage and AP with Jarvan and Mordekaiser, respectively, as well as other tanky champions. Basically, champions like Rumble have a tanky potential with not as much AP potential as pure mages like Karthus and Malzahar, and if you build Rumble like a pure mage, it's not fully utilizing his potential. Just my opinion.

Based on experience, tanky DPS/AP champions are extremely easy to deal if they build full on damage/AP. At the same time, they can be easily ignored if they build full tank.

I think I'll let you suffer for a while...

RE: Rumble
Get Rylai's and Spell Vamp. You can build whatever the situation calls for, whether that be a quick Rabbadon's if you're doing well, or a defensive item.

Boots should be decided depending on enemy structure.
Annie, Kennen and Alistar? You're probably gonna want Merc Treads.
If there's no CC, feel free to gander over damage-improving boots.

The general reason he gets those items are because he makes a good tanky caster. (like Morde, Vlad or Kennen)
Notice how most tanky magical damage champions are usually manaless?

When he was OP, you got full potential!

RE: Rumble
I see, thanks for the feedback. I don't really see Rumble as "tanky" althought he does have a lot of health. He doesn't have abilities that would help him keep enemies away from his team?

RE: Rumble
I personally like trolling around with rumble with Sorcerer's Shoes/Merc Threads, then a Haunting guise, then a Rylai's, and after that just getting AP, preferably with tanky properties such as Zhonya's Hourglass and abyssal scepter.
Early game tends to go shitty, even though It might be related to the build, but further on, you can easily take most opponents down in a 1v1.
However, I also noticed Rumble isn't that reliant on his build too much, but that's not really important.

As for the tanky thing, it's like Garen's judgement, people tend to get the hell outta there with him spinning around. Just like that, Rumble has his flamethrower and ultimate; He is a tank by dealing damage and make the enemy focus him down first, while he is still tanky as hell. He is also melee, so to deal damage, you require the survivability to finish your abilities in a team fight.

I saw London, I saw France, hell I even saw Cho'gath dance.

Oh no, don't mind me, I'm just stacking aura's here, go on and hit the tank ^^'.
