Nocturne: Prisoner or Slave?
Well according to the lore he came out of some kinda crack in the dimensions and slew a buncha people but was captured. However, he could been sent back or destroyed so he was sent back....or...he be chained to the physical world and fight in the League.

Here's the thing though; despite the fact he slew some summoners (though honestly he's an evil being so what did you expect?) is it right to enslave something not of this world and force it to fight? At least the other champions came to the League voluntarily to fight. In this case it's practically slavery since their forcing him to fight instead of sending him back.

Personally I think he should of just been sent back or at least given a choice to either fight, and kill shit in which he seems to love doing or just go back home. I'm pretty sure a blood thirsty shadow monster would like to fight and kill other champions rather than go back home?

Anyways what is everyone's thoughts on this? Is it right?

RE: Nocturne: Prisoner or Slave?
I think it´s a game

I´m not trying to be rude and stuff, it´s just I don´t think they´d put that much effort into the story.
But well, I might say my opinion. In a world where the League exists, in which people are brutally murdered (I don´t know you, but I don´t feel like being eaten by a giant void creature, or to be teared apart by a fucking barbarian. Hell, I don´t even want to think to be shot in the face with a fucking giant laser) I don´t think it´d be wrong to enslave some creepy mad creature from another dimension. And like ya said, Nocturne doesn´t seem sad. I mean, he says "DAAAAAAAAAARKNESS", not "I miss my mummy Frown"

Lock in your characters and let me explain
The tale of a man who's caused so much pain
Demacia is the place he was raised
If you listen to me you'll be quite amazed
To learn why he's the king of the Rift
The enemy, they're all scared stiff
The heart of a team on mid lane pushes
The reason your foes stay out of the bushes.
The heat of a battle, Garen appears
Down the top lane runs a river of tears
A beacon of light, watch his enemies run
On his back eighteen cloaks of the sun
The lane seems clear but it's hard to say
Is he in the bushes, is he MIA?
It's team fight time, he'll lead the charge
His scarf is long his sword is large.

RE: Nocturne: Prisoner or Slave?
Ah but here's that's the thing isn't it?

Just because something is evil does it mean we can do whatever we want to it and disregard that fact it's a sentient being?

That's like saying that criminals have no rights and we can do whatever we want to them. Nope, their still humans and they still have rights so we can't do that.

Yes, I know it's a game but it still has these discussions and it's got nothing to do with the quality of the storyline. I'm not questioning the quality just the basis of the story.

RE: Nocturne: Prisoner or Slave?
Well, it is a different universe, you can´t apply your way of thinking of this world we know. It´s a completely different civilization.
What if the Roman Colosseum still held battles? In that case I don´t think you would question what has happened to Nocturne.
By growing in this society we learn certain things that actually don´t have a reason. Why killing is bad? All the animals kill. Why we can´t have slaves? There is no right answer to that kind of question. What is "right" and "wrong", "good" or "evil", etc. The human had changed his way of thinking, and just because now slavery is a crime, you can´t say that in the past they were wrong.
My point is: if you want to talk about what happened to Nocturne, you must think like if you were born in Runeterra. Or even if you were born in Nocturne´s dimension

Could you possibly stop being incredibly difficult?

I'm asking DO YOU THINK THIS IS RIGHT.

NOT DO YOU THINK REAL WORLD EDICTS AND ETHICS APPLY.

This isn't a question of dimensional or cross-world ethics.

I´ve already answered that in my first post

The second post I made was to answer what I thought of this:

Sorry, I know I´m a bit frustrating haha, but I like to write complete explanations and stuff

RE: Nocturne: Prisoner or Slave?
The League has it's own agenda.

There are no ethics involved.
He possesses unique power, something the League can utilize and therefore he's forced to fight.

He's too dangerous to be let loose (as stated).
