No more deny-plank
Although Gangplank received buffs in his other skills, I feel that denying during the laning phase was his most important role and gave his team a significant level advantage against the people he laned with. Now that's gone... any thoughts on this?

I think I'll let you suffer for a while...

RE: No more deny-plank
First of all I almost never saw GP players, I'm thinking it's some high ELO character because of how shitty he was pre-patch.

Honestly I don't mind the changes, at least now the buff is useful as before it was shat and that's why it was only used for the deny factor.

At least now GP's Ult actually does something and his Parley isn't ridiculous anymore.

Deny-ing denied you gold hits from parley
So now we'll see uber-farmed GPs because of RM + Parley
Also if the ranged for Cannon Barrage is THAT small (preview video) it'll be complete crap. I think it's about the size of Jarvan IV's Cataclysm

Off-topic: Bug reports section in LoL forums on official site's avatar is Parley. :P Coincidence?

RE: No more deny-plank
I honestly didn't see that many deny-planks so I doubt it's going to be a giant loss as it seems from what I've picked up that deny-plank is mostly ranked strategy.

In normal games the change is for the better cause the increased gold makes it more useful to use on minions, not to mention the buff is finally worth a shit so I'll actually use it.

RE: No more deny-plank
I've never thought about GP in terms of serious and competetive champion. I played him few times and he was fun, that all crit parleys, free cc removal and that global ult... But he was always too squishy and his damage was very random due to crit chances.

Then I realized that deny is really strong. Hell, I've once had 1v2 lane: Renek enemy vs Nidalee (me) + GP ally, and when we had lvl 7, Renek was lvl 2 due to uber denial... I can imagine how annoying it was to him, and he had no way to counter it.

IMO he's being pushed into good way to become viable champion. His damage and ult are reworked into less random, more consistent damage/slow. Some nubers are too low right now but Riot already said they are going to buff him next patch.

And the most essential part of him - deny - being removed is great thing. It was just unfair that only one champion can deny.. If you really miss that, go play HoN or DotA where for 20 first minutes game is all about killing your own creeps (in there you have to prioritize it over killing enemy minions/heroes).
