So, I've noticed that playing League can get boring, even with the 70 or so champions laying around. Mostly the boring thing is going mid or laning with another person at top or bot every single game. So I've made it a point to look for and create various early game tactics.
Key: #.#.# is the number of people per lane. First is top, second is mid, third is bot.
J is jungling
R is roaming, which I will touch on in a bit.
Original strategy #1: Laning: 2.1.2
This is obviously the bread and butter of our game, and its something I wish to change, but for the sake of this thread I'll put it here. Obviously you want one tanky or cc heavy champ in top and bot, plus a good farmer in each lane.
Original strategy #2: Jungling: 1.1.2 1J
Once again, another bread and butter strategy. Having someone solo'ing top and having a fast jungler for more ganking and harrassment in the early stages of the game.
I'm not touching too much on these two strategy's simply because we all know about them. But I am putting them in here because they are the base to almost all of the strategies I've discovered so far.
New strategy #1: Siege mid: 1.3.1 Proven to be viable, but still needs more testing.
This strategy is pretty simple. You get two champions that can farm really well in a 2v1 lane, and then you get 3 champions that synergies really well together, OR 3 champions that can easily siege a lane together. The idea behind this is to not only give a bonus for two champions to get a level boost, but it also forces excessive ganks on mid. Not only is it an intimidation factor for their mid, but if you deny their mid access to farming, you're going to cause other members of their team to come and gank you very often. Meaning that they aren't getting xp in lanes.
With the new way xp is dispersed, your 3 champions in mid aren't going to fall behind as much as they would normally have due to the xp bonus for having three people in mid. Just a thought.
New strategy #2: Double Jungle: 1.1.1 2J Proven to work under the right conditions.
Ok, you have two really fast junglers that work together while jungling. The idea behind this strategy is to give 3 champions a level boost, and due to the faster ability to jungle, apply stronger and more effective ganks on lanes. Nunu and shaco have been the best combination for this so far, but I'm sure there are even better combos for this.
There is one problem though. The double junglers can't be scared of going into the other teams jungle, thus the other team CAN NOT have a jungler, or else they will fall behind due to the lack of jungle creeps to kill. I've found that the best path a double jungle team takes is starting at blue and then moving in a counter clockwise manner through out the entire jungle, giving blue to one champ, red to the other, and then giving the other blue and red to the one who didn't get it hte first time.
New strategy #3: Roamer: 1.2.2 R1/ 1.2.1 R1 J1 Proven.
Instead of explaining the idea of doing the roamer strategy, I'm just going to explain the idea of a roamer. I've found that the idea of a roamer is a champion who has a low level CC, such as Alistar, Janna, and taric, who goes from lane to lane causing ganks and mayhem. It is like a jungler, except they don't deal with the jungling, hence why I put that jungling can be done co-in-siding this strategy. These champions are also high on the mobility factor and aren't really build dependent to get their job done. Their job isn't to get kills, its to pull of succesful ganks for the carries to get kills. Champions like Alistar and Janna can do their job succesfully without the need of a build.
Ok, so thats all I've discovered for now. Feel free to comment on your upfront opinion on each strategy, but don't count it out until you've tried it. Feel free to post your own strategies as well and depending on if we can prove its viability, I may post it up here with your name next to the concept.
