Dragon Nest
I know almost everything about it.
Minus the very specifics; Quests, NPC Names, Monster Names, Etc.

I've been following this game before Korea got to CBT it.

What is Dragon Nest Exactly?
-Live Action
-Dungeons
-Third Person Shooter Set up (Cross heir, WASD, mouse left & right for normal attacks)
-Dragons Vs. Humans (obviously)
-Questing/Grinding
-Combo System
-Fluid Gameplay (unlike vindictus)

The only negative things that I could really think of are. .
That Warrior class, & Cleric class are male, while Archer & Sorceress are female.
And that you also don't get much character customization, but who cares?

Warrior Class Branches out into..
Swordsman - Agility based Sword user.
Mercenary - Power based Axe/Hammer user.

Cleric Class branches out into..
Paladin - Tank Based Mid Evil Flail/Mace & Shield user.
Priest - Support Based (Buff/Heal/Damage) Mid Evil Flail/Mace & Shield User.

Archer Class branches out into..
Acrobat - Close Combat Bow user.
Bow Master - Ranged Damage Dealer, Cross Bow/Bow user.

Sorceress Class branches out into..
Force User - Dark Magic Orb/Book user. (Not Starwars Force)
Elemental Lord - Mostly Ice & Fire Spells, uses Orb/Book. (Haven't seen much earth, or lightning.)

Each class gets another advancement, don't worry, but I only remember the names for merc. & force user.
But I won't spoil that, cause Korea just got them c:

3rd Swordsman
4th Elemental Lord
5th Elemental Lord
6th Bow Master
7th Paladin
8th Bow Master
9th Acrobat
10th Priest
11th Acrobat
12th Swordsman
13th Force User
14th Paladin
15th Mercenary
16th Mercenary
Last Priest

Beginner Gameplay (character creation & beginner area) - http://youtu.be/H62zYEszbnw

More Information
  • Towns act as "lobbys" between dungeons
  • PvP is available
  • Warrior & Archer share the same beginner town.
  • Sorceress & Cleric share the same beginner town.
  • Clean Set up
  • Dungeons are full of surprises, destroy the nearby objects & get gold & items~
  • Potions drop from monsters in dungeons & if picked up, are used right away
  • Dungeons have grading/rating system, the higher the grade/rate the better the exp
  • Combos help improve the grade/rating you get at the end of dungeons
  • Dragon Nest can run on older computers
  • Priests damage ability's are based around lightning
  • Paladins can also deal damage, & buff teammates

Other than that, I really don't see this game ever feeling "repetitive" for me like Vindictus did.

The gameplay on Dragon Nest is very smooth & fluid, the graphics might not be orgasmic like Vindictus, but you can obviously see the company put more effort in gameplay & skills, than looks.
But none the less, the graphics appeal to me very much (:

I'm really looking forward to playing Force User, still deciding on whether or not i'm gonna make a bow master or an acrobat.

Just reminding you, the company that created this game well.. This is their first game they've made.
I think they did pretty good oAo;

Ah DragonNest.

Ironically, the original admin of the forums of another Nexon game wherein a few of us here came from also made another forum for Dragon Nest.

I have a few friends who are hyped about this game as well though I will take some time to warm up to the game considering it's makers/publishers.

I know what you mean, Worldwide/NA Nexon sucks big time.
I'm giving it a try regardlessly, & will be highly disappointed in Nexon if they fail with Dragon Nest as they did with Vindictus.

Applied for Closed Beta.

I heard there was a "fatigue" system like in DFO.
If so, I'm not going to play.. ever.

I hate games that won't allow me to play them for hours non-stop. I hate, hate, ABSOLUTELY HATE "fatigue".

I never heard about fatigue >:
yet again I'm paying more attention to Korea than North American version.

RE: Dragon Nest
Fatigue system is something few of us know of.

The other game I play and recommend Spiral Knights has a similar system.

How it usually works is you start off with 100 Fatigue or Energy or whatever they call it.

To go into a dungeon or instance or raid or whatnot you pay X amount of Fatigue/etc to get in.

There might be things inside the dungeont hat costs more Fatigue/etc to unlock or get into.

When you run out of Fatigue/etc you cannot run dungeons any longer and must wait X minutes to get 1 Fatigue back, etc. Sometimes these games will have quests where you get a Potion to restore your Fatigue while other games like Spiral Knights actually allows you to buy said Fatigue/etc.

===========

Though from what I've seen of DN it'd be kinda weird like if WoW had a similar system.

I don't want to have to put up with Nexon EU ever again, so I've had to pass on this game.
