Personally I think it does; I premade with 2 of my low levels friends IRL and they suck, but they're getting better: they stomp whenever they play by themselves.

I think it's because they're playing against better people so they have to learn quicker and when we're on Skype, I can yell at them to not overextend and get back and stuff.

What do yall think?

Well I think your thread's name is misleading for one.

For two I think it can help but not always. If a person can't take such a one sided battle as a learning experience it could make them worse due to so much stress and loss of games.

If a person can turn games that are pitting them against people with a much better chance of winning into a learning experience then yes, they can become better much faster.

This is how I learned to play, and I feel like it helped a lot. You can't learn how to play the game well by repeatedly curbstomping people. You have to learn from mistakes, and when you're fighting people who are better at the game than you, you learn fairly quickly from your mistakes.

Teaching by fire = best way to learn, its how I taught david Smile

Pretty much how I teach all my friends to play, I que up with them, and drop into a normal match, and explain a few things like how to move and use skills, the rest is up to them to figure out, cruel? Slightly, but Wink it clearly works.

I learned how to play this way as well. Since friends introduced me, I constantly played with them and we always went up against level 30s and I just fed... hard... I wouldn't know if it made me better at solo-queuing since I always played with friends.

I think I'll let you suffer for a while...

I pretty much learned by myself though..

I didn't have any friends to help me at the time, so I found myself going up against a bunch of smurfs and getting facerolled quite often. I eventually learned the meta-game and picked everything up relatively quickly.

Now I'm teaching my friends, and they say it helps them out a lot.

So yes, I do believe using voice-communication to co-ordinate your team and instruct the less experienced players helps them learn a lot.

It depends if they're willing to listen and take your advice.

It helps the new players a lot even if you keep losing...I'd play all day long against better players than me to keep improving.

Learning by yourself is less stressful but takes much longer. If you are facing people better than you, you WILL learn a LOT faster (unless you are that bad lol)

For sure! But people need to watch their langauge and name-calling. There is no reasons to call them names like n00b and put your frustating on them. We all were n00bs once.
